Beyond The Scrubs is a initiative that sheds light on the untold stories of health workers in Indonesia during their battle against Covid-19. This project combines written narratives with evocative illustrated artwork to bring these stories to life, giving voice to the experiences and sacrifices of these frontline heroes.
The purpose of Beyond The Scrubs is to create a platform for the community to actively participate in showing appreciation for health workers. By engaging with these stories, participants are encouraged to think critically and build emotional connections with the storytellers, fostering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those in the healthcare sector. This project honor the resilience and bravery of healthcare workers, and to ensure their stories are remembered and appreciated.

#StayAtHome Campaign
Derived from the values that Beyond The Scrubs aims to elevate, the essence of its identity is captured through distinctive illustration and typography. The visual style of Beyond The Scrubs employs a blend of diverse techniques and materials, including embroidery, markers, pastels, collage, painting on photos, and digital imaging.
This thoughtful combination results in a nuanced and touching portrayal of healthcare workers, reflecting the project's depth and sensitivity. For its typographic identity, Beyond The Scrubs utilizes Gloucester Pro Extra Condensed as its primary typeface and Aktiv Grotesk as its secondary typeface. This choice imparts a modern and journalistic feel, enhancing the project's overall aesthetic. To translate the narrative effectively, the design plays with variable typographic styles, creating a clear hierarchy and emphasizing the sense of urgency in the stories told.
Beyond The Scrubs also launched the #StayAtHome campaign, creatively incorporating several famous statues of Jakarta City. These statues, depicted as being absent from their designated places because they are "quarantining" too, serve as a poignant reminder of the importance of staying home and the collective effort required to combat the pandemic.
